Commissions

As I mentioned previously I had been working on some wonderful commissions and I can finally reveal a couple. I was asked to make two lanterns showing two extremely talented family members.

The one image was such a challenge as the colours were so beautiful and evocative, rather dreamy but the process I use softens the images and light images always are tricky.

After isolating the harpist and gymnast I was then able to manipulate the background so the subjects wouldn’t get lost into the view. After a lot of tinkering around I was then able to re add the harpist and gymnast back into the picture, the picture is such a beautiful one of one of my favourite places locally at Llangorse Lake.

Even though I never met the two in the picture I always enjoy looking at it as it shows the diversity of families and how beautiful they are when they merge together from their individual disciplines.

Sadly I don’t seem to have the final image of the lantern which shows the final imagery and colours but the picture below shows the process around halfway through.
